Can Kitchen Cabinets and Furniture Be Professionally Sprayed?
Share
A dated, damaged or peeling finish does not necessarily mean that your kitchen, furniture or fitted cabinetry needs replacing. In many cases, the existing pieces can be repaired, carefully prepared and professionally sprayed to create a smooth, durable new finish.
West London Spraying Co. restores kitchens, fitted furniture and freestanding pieces throughout West and South West London. Our priority is to preserve what already exists, repair damaged areas and create a transformation without the waste and disruption of unnecessary replacement.

Every project is assessed before work begins. Different materials require different preparation, so we select the most suitable method for the existing surface, its condition and the finish you would like to achieve.
Restoring Damaged Surfaces
Your kitchen or furniture does not need to be in perfect condition before it can be sprayed.
Water damage, swelling, deep scratches, worn edges, chips, dents, cracks and split joints can often be repaired during the preparation process. Damaged areas can be filled, rebuilt, reshaped and smoothed to create a properly prepared foundation for the new finish.
Where water damage is present, the source of any continuing moisture should also be identified and resolved to protect the restored surface.
Preparation is never simply about covering damage with paint. The surface must first be properly restored so that the finished result looks refined and performs as it should.
Peeling Vinyl Does Not Always Mean Replacement
Peeling or bubbling vinyl can make kitchen doors appear beyond repair, but underneath the vinyl is usually an MDF door that can be restored.
If the vinyl remains firmly attached and is in good condition, it can be properly prepared for spraying. Where the covering is peeling or failing, the vinyl can be removed to reveal the MDF underneath. The surface can then be repaired, prepared and professionally sprayed.
This can give a tired vinyl kitchen a completely new appearance without automatically replacing the existing doors.
A Complete Kitchen Refresh
Alongside repairing and spraying your cabinets, we can improve the smaller details that affect how the finished kitchen looks and functions.
Doors and drawers that lean, sit unevenly or have moved out of alignment can be adjusted so that they fit correctly and create more balanced gaps.
Kitchen handles can also be changed, even when the new handles require completely different fixing positions. We can fill the previous holes, restore the surface and create new fixings for your chosen handles.
Current hinges can also be upgraded to soft-close hinges. These prevent doors from slamming, help protect the cabinets from repeated impact and add modern convenience to the restored kitchen.
A Durable Finish for Everyday Life
We use premium, low-VOC coatings with a Class 1 scrub rating. They are designed for high traffic areas such as kitchens and provide excellent durability, scratch resistance and lasting colour vibrancy.
The quality of the preparation is just as important as the coating itself. Each surface is assessed and prepared according to its material and condition to help the new finish adhere correctly and perform under regular use.
The result is a smooth, factory-quality finish designed for real homes and everyday life.
Restoring Rather Than Replacing
Perfectly functional kitchens and well made pieces of furniture are often discarded simply because their colour has become dated or their surface has been damaged.
Replacing them requires new raw materials, manufacturing, packaging and transportation. The existing kitchen or furniture must then be dismantled and disposed of, often creating a considerable amount of unnecessary waste.
Professional restoration allows us to retain the materials and craftsmanship already within the home. By repairing and refinishing existing kitchens, fitted cabinetry and furniture, we can extend their useful life, reduce waste and lessen the environmental impact associated with manufacturing replacements.
Our process also uses premium low-VOC coatings, responsibly sourced materials and recyclable packaging wherever possible.
For us, sustainability is not simply about the paint being applied. It begins with recognising the value in what already exists and finding a way to preserve it.
Where Is the Spraying Completed?
We normally complete our spraying on site, allowing us to prepare and transform both fixed cabinetry and removable pieces at the property.
If there is not enough suitable space, we have access to an off-site spray room where doors, drawer fronts or furniture can be completed. We assess each project beforehand and choose the most appropriate arrangement for the property and items being restored.
Could Your Kitchen or Furniture Be Restored?
Even if the existing surface is peeling, swollen, scratched, chipped or heavily worn, do not assume that it needs replacing.
