Preparation Guide

Preparation Guide

This guide has been created to help you understand our process, how to prepare for your project, and what to expect throughout the transformation.

Our aim is to deliver a refined, high quality finish with as little disruption to your home as possible.

Your Transformation

Professional spray refinishing is a considered alternative to replacement, allowing existing kitchens, cabinetry, doors, and interior surfaces to be transformed without the disruption of a full renovation.

Our process delivers:
A bespoke finish tailored to your home
Minimal disruption compared to replacement
A more sustainable approach with significantly less waste
A durable, professionally applied finish backed by our 2 year workmanship guarantee

Colour Consultation

Once your consultation has been arranged, you will receive a curated colour brochure by email to help guide your selection process.

You will then choose up to 4 colours for your project, which will be professionally prepared into your personalised home consultation pack and posted directly to you.

This allows colours to be viewed in your own space and lighting before final decisions are made.

Final colour confirmation must be completed at least 7 working days before your start date.

What To Expect During The Process

Preparation and spraying

All surfaces are carefully cleaned, prepared, masked, and refinished using professional spray systems designed to achieve a smooth, factory quality finish.

Dust and noise

Some dust and noise is unavoidable during preparation stages despite careful protection measures. A full clean is carried out on completion, however light settling dust may remain temporarily.

Access to your space

Depending on the surfaces being refinished, certain areas of your home may have limited access during the process.

Appliances and surrounding areas may be temporarily protected or out of use while work is completed.

Appliances and surrounding surfaces

We spray as far as safely accessible around appliances and fixed features. If full access is required, items may need to be removed before work begins.

We use specialist low tack masking materials, though delicate painted surfaces or wallpaper may occasionally be sensitive during removal.

Preparing For Our Arrival

Preparation requirements will vary depending on the surfaces being refinished and the scale of the project.

Before work begins, we may ask for surrounding areas to be cleared, delicate items to be removed, and access to the working space to be prepared in advance.

Where applicable, cupboards, shelving, or surrounding surfaces may also need to be emptied or protected before arrival.

Full preparation guidance will be provided prior to your project start date.

Optional Enhancements

Additional upgrades can usually be added up to 7 days before your project begins.

These may include:
New handles or knobs
Soft close hinges
Push to open mechanisms
Wall and tile refinishing

Completion and Aftercare

Once completed, you will have the opportunity to inspect the work with us to ensure everything meets expectations.

Your newly refinished surfaces will continue curing over approximately 2 weeks. During this period we recommend:
Avoiding heavy use where possible
Using only gentle cleaning products
Avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive materials

This allows the finish to reach its full durability and hardness.
